Mission Manor Escape Room is located in an amazing space in the basement of the Miller Textile building. We booked a whole room for our family to have a fun experience. We had a blast escaping from the Asylum Room! At times it felt real, like an actual escape since the clues and general environment were very believable. The clues were very clever and needed teamwork to solve. Our group consisted of different playing levels - newbies and experienced people. There were clues at every level so this was perfect for that mix.
Everyone was able to contribute in their own way and had a great time.
The cost is about $27 per person - and it is a good idea to book in advance on their website.

The cool thing about the Savannah Old Town Trolley Tour is you can get off and back on at any of the 14 stops along the tour.

The orchard house was purchased by Louisa Mae Alcott's father, Bronson Alcott, in 1857. It was a typical colonial house on 12 acres of land surrounded by apple orchards, which gave the house its name. The Alcott family lived there for 20 years, and no one would have imagined how famous their home would become in American literature.
Louisa became an extremely successful author. Her novel Little Women, which was based on her own life growing up with her three sisters at Orchard House, was published in 1868 and became an instant classic.
On our visit the tour guide told many interesting stories about the Alcott family. The historic house is a museum with about 80 percent of its original furniture. We were able to tour through the kitchen, dining room, parlor, Louisa’s room, her sister May’s room, an art studio, and the master bedroom.

The Little Sable Point Lighthouse is near the Silver Lake Sand Dunes on Lake Michigan. When we arrived there was plenty of parking. A small shop run my volunteers was near the parking lot and there were some portapotties so be forewarned if you prefer a regular bathroom. The lighthouse is located at a small beach that is maintained very well. There's a paved path from the parking lot to the lighthouse so you don't need to worry about trying to walk on sand.
The lighthouse is beautiful and restored. For a small fee you can climb to the top and take amazing pictures from the top. The climb up involved very narrow stairs so be careful. At the top enjoy the great views. We were happy a volunteer came up to tell us about the history of the lighthouse and about the ships and commerce that used to sail up and down the coast of Lake Michigan.
Cost is about $5 donation per person.

We really enjoyed the Ecology Tour of the Indian River mangroves by Motorized Kayak Adventures near Hutchinson Island in Ft. Pierce, Florida - so much so we went twice! Our tour went in and out of islands and squeezed through little tunnels of mangroves. We enjoyed seeing fish, stingrays, and turtles. The birds were a lot of fun. The best part was the kayaks each had an electric motor with a directional control lever that extended to your side so that you could steer while sitting comfortably. This made it so easy to go up current. We passed other groups who were digging away with hard rowing, but I suppose they got more exercise. I happen to think I enjoyed doing it our way more. As the morning progressed I realized our guide knew every detail about the mangroves. We enjoyed seeing little crabs and snails that hide in mangrove branches. It's wise to use a liberal amount of sunscreen.
The tours leave early in the morning and you must have a reservation. Plan ahead because there is a limited capacity.
The cost is about $52 per person but there is often a groupon available to make it cost a bit less.
